Unifrax High Temperature Insulation Fibers For Thermal Management |
Unifrax Refractory Ceramic Fiber & AES Fiber High Temperature Insulation ProductsUnifrax I LLC has manufactured Fiberfrax Refractory Ceramic Fiber high temperature insulation products since 1942. Fiberfrax refractory ceramic fiber materials are now available in over 50 product forms for a range of industrial thermal management applications. Following European Community Directive 97/69/EC, regarding in-vitro fiber solubility, Insulfrax and revolutionary new Isofrax Alkaline Earth Silicate (AES) fibers are also widely available in most product forms - as a more soluble alternative to refractory ceramic fiber:
Unifrax Fiberfrax refractory ceramic fiber is also a core component of: Unifrax Isofrax AES fiber is also used in Isofoam®advanced gunnable high temperature insulation for furnace lining applications

Fiberfrax® |
Fiberfrax alumino-silicate refractory ceramic fibers are recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 1430°C (2600°F). All Fiberfrax products are characterized by, low thermal conductivity, low heat storage, excellent thermal shock resistance, light weight, and superior corrosion resistance. The excellent thermal stability, and the low-density form of refractory ceramic fiber products, make them ideal for a wide range of high temperature insulation applications. Fiberfrax refractory ceramic fiber insulation is widely applied in power generation, industrial chemical processing, petroleum refining, and various other industries including aerospace, appliance, automotive, ferrous & non-ferrous metals, ceramic, glass, and fire protection. Insulfrax AES Fiber
|
Insulfrax calcium-magnesium-silicate AES fiber is recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 1832°F (1000°C), and exhibits improved in-vitro solubility characteristics compared to refractory ceramic fiber. Insulfrax Fiber meets European regulatory requirements for synthetic vitreous high temperature insulation fiber in-vitro solubility. Insulfrax AES Fiber MSDS |
Isofrax® |
Isofrax magnesium-silicate-based fiber is recommended for continuous use at temperatures up to 2300°F (1260°C) - for improved thermal stability over Insulfrax AES Fiber insulation. Isofrax in-vitro solubility characteristics also meet European regulatory requirements for synthetic vitreous high temperature insulation fiber. As with Fiberfrax refractory ceramic fiber, Isofrax AES fiber products exhibit high temperature stability, low thermal conductivity, low heat storage, and high thermal shock resistance.
